Disclaimer

Please note that the "38 Common Dealership Scams" are NOT common to ALL
dealerships; thankfully, they are "common" to only a minority of dealerships to
varying degrees; Most car salesmen are honest, hard-working folks.

However, it's not always obvious when you are getting taken advantage of. For this reason, it's 'better to be safe than sorry.'

How To Get The Most Out of This Guide

There's a pretty good chance that you will be victim to at least one of the common 38 dealership tricks and scams at some point in your car-buying life...

That is, unless you take a few minutes to read the material written here for your benefit

Grab a cup of coffee and read everything on this site all the way through at
least once--without stopping, without getting sidetracked.  It only takes about 25
minutes to read thru it all, and you'll find the time will fly by as you'll be astounded
by what goes on every day at some car dealerships!

Don't Be "Had!"

...And you stand to save yourself a ton of money and confusion.  But perhaps just as importantly, you'll save yourself from that horrible feeling of "being had."

By the way, for brevity and simplicity, throughout this guide the word "he"
represents both genders.

After you've finished reading the guide completely, go back through and take
notes and perhaps print out sections.  But you will be amazed and entertained at
the lengths some car salesmen will go to for a sale....while looking you straight
in the eye and acting like you're their best friend!

==========================================================

The methods described here are not new---not by a long shot---to experienced
car salesmen, but I bet you haven't heard of many of these dealership scams
before arriving here.  I've been in the car  business for a long time, and my next
door neighbor has been a 'super' car salesman for many years.  You can be
sure everything on this site is current and completely true.  So this is your best
new car buying guide available---bar none.  The only other thing that may help
prepare you in addition to our guide, is to get Consumer Report's New Car
Buyer's kit---but I'll cover that later...

Sooner or later everybody has to purchase a new car. And chances are you've
already bought your fair share of new and used cars by now---and you haven't
always got the deal you wanted.  Even if you think you have, trust me---you
haven't.

It doesn’t matter if it’s your fourth new car or your first, it is inevitable. Of
course, we all know that there is an art to buying a new car that we should
know sooner or later.  And the sooner you learn this "art", the better!

But it's really not an "art" to getting your best deal on a car.  It's preparation and
knowledge of all of the scams that will be tried on you.  Do your homework.  It's
really cut and dry.  Buying a new car doesn't have to be that tough.  Read on...

Every car buyer knows that there are haggling methods to getting a car
at a reasonable price
.

Dealerships and private sellers rarely mark the car’s actual worth. Instead, they mark the price up so that they can clear a good profit for themselves. Some dealerships  mark the prices up so that their salesmen will have a greater incentive to sell the cars for them.

Now, there's nothing wrong with any business making a profit---it's the American Way---but not at the great expense of a customer who has been lied to.  As you'll see, there's definitely too much lying going on in this business.

Whatever the reason, almost all dealerships can be
talked down on their initial prices, if you know
how to haggle properly.

And haggling is not hard at all---even for super-shy people--if they're prepared.
Preparation is everything.  The savvy buyer will know that he can talk the dealer-
ship’s prices down at least a little bit, if he knows the dealer’s lingo and tricks
beforehand and shows that he's prepared to deal with them.  That's how you
want to arrive at the dealership:  prepared.  I don't care if you're the shyest person
in the world, if you follow the advice here, you'll actually look forward to your new
car buying experience!

Salesmen are there to try and hustle a good price for the company (read: "rip
you off") while you should be trying to hustle a good price for yourself.
 If you have
ever wanted to get your money’s worth out of buying a new car, then this website
will be your comprehensive guide to getting through all of the bull and getting a
car at a price you will be happy with.  It's the best new car buying tip you could
ever give yourself.  So take your time and read it thoroughly...and I believe you'll be
entertained as well!

Most of the time, it's not just the sticker price of buying a car that is the problem.
Dealers and salesmen have a way of getting a huge amount of extra money out
of you for the “extras” or "options".

Many people don’t even realize that they
purchased these "extras" until it’s too late.

Salesmen speak their own language, and to know when you are being sold on
something that you don’t want, you need to know how to speak the same language
as the salesmen do. This guide will teach you how to get through that barrier once
and for all, so that you will never again be oversold on a car or anything else you
want to buy. You will learn:

  • How to spot a scam from a dealer or salesman
  • The best time of the year to buy a new car
  • How to get a good purchase price
  • Tips to financing a new car
  • How to give your opening price

Buying a car doesn’t have to be scary and it doesn’t have to be the worst
experience of your life. Many people dread buying a new car because they know
that they are likely going to get ripped off.  And 9 times out of 10, they're right!...

But...

You don’t have worry about this any more because this guide will teach
how to avoid that problem and more. Now, on to the good stuff...simply
click on the next link down from the "Home" link on the left panel.
